Place your incubator in an area where the temperatures are between 22-25 c and remain stable throughout the day, for best results. Avoid areas where the sun will shine on the incubator, or drafts or a heat duct will blow on it. So fluctuating room temperature may reduce your hatch rates. Make sure your incubator is level and safe from pets and children. In the above incubator there is automatic eggs turner.

Please subscribe for more videos, thanks. On October 13th, 2015 the Toronto Zoo giant panda Er Shun gave birth to two cubs. To care for the cubs, The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) generously donated an incubator to the Zoo's Wildlife Health Centre. The incubator is currently being used in the maternity area of the giant panda house for the Zoo’s newborn panda cubs. "The incubator is a critical piece of equipment that is being used by the giant panda team to give both cubs the best chances for survival," said Dr. Chris Dutton, Head of Veterinary Services at the Toronto Zoo. "I would like to express particular thanks to Dr. Peter Cox and Mr. Navtej Virdi of Sick Kids Hospital for arranging this important contribution." The incubator is conveniently located on the back wall of the chamber. This provides for easy access to all of the plates and allows the operator to view the entire contents of the incubator. The incubator holds roughly 580 plates, and is separated from the main work area. The main work area stays at room temperature, which is much more comfortable to work in.
Which is best for hatching and raising chicks - an incubator or a broody hen? There’s a lot to learn about using an incubator to hatch chicks – you need to maintain just the temperature, humidity, ventilation, turn the eggs enough and in the right way and stop turning at the right time. With a broody hen, she knows all that stuff and does it all for you. But a hen is broody on her own schedule, not when you want her to raise chicks. And she'll probably only raise one brood per year, whereas with an incubator you can hatch dozens of chicks in a year. Both an incubator and a broody hen have advantages and disadvantages. Which is best depends on what you want, what you have, and what best suits your purpose. I hope this video will give you the information you need to help you decide which is...
